Can An Axis Mp Ip Cam Do This?

Featured Replies

Can it be setup or used as both a "webcam" and a Still capture cam.

Basically I want to farm off FTP images or stills automatically at specified intervals throughout the day but also embed the live feed onto a page on my website.

If not Axis, does anyone recommend any specific kit that can do this?

Thanks

Hooner

it can yes

but you will need to script it to grab images as set intervals, you could use a bash script if you have your own server.

hmm, Im not brilliant with scripting or even HTML in general to be honest, so it would be a bit beyond me.

Could be some coin in this for someone if they are interested.

We host our own sites inhouse on IIS, btw.

in that case then wget

http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htm

set a sheduled task to use wget and set the command line and it will download a jpeg to the directory you set.
