hazey
Have just installed this, but can't get it out of installer mode when I apply the power. It keeps complaing about the tamper on zones 1 to 8. I have placed a wire jumber across the two tamper connectors, but it still has the same fault. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Many thanks H. Monty
A quick test for the zones not being used go into zone progg and progg them as not used and remember to link out your 0 volts to Tr you should then be able to leave eng mode. www.AllanMoncrieffAlarms.com Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/27486-scantronics-9751/#findComment-228502 Share on other sites
marx
if u r not using resistors then opt 21 change it to two wires(press 1or2) if i remember right! hazey
The system is set up with 4 wires and a common tamper, so no resistors to fiddle with. Have checked the option 21 and it is still set as the default of 0 - closed circuit + com A/T. Have used all 8 zones to nothing to set to not used......I did have a fault with the bell anti tamper - but that went away when I actually conneced the bell DOH! (Did not want to upset the neighbours too quickly) I think my next plan is to take all the wiring to bits and add in a zone at a time and check it each time - unless there are more good ideas out there. Thanks for the help so far Hazel Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/27486-scantronics-9751/#findComment-228703 Share on other sites
9651
So you have a wire link in the A/T terminals, one from the 0v to t and have the lid shut when powering up yes? tamper zones 1-8 means global tamper, which is the A/T connection only.... hazey
Dont't have a wire from 0v to T yet, but may try it later. The only jumper I have in is on the global anti tamper circuit, and when I put a continuity tester over the connectors I got a circuit (even without the jumper) - always test with the lid on to avoid the box anti tamper setting it off. Will keep you posted. H. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/27486-scantronics-9751/#findComment-228741 Share on other sites
