Galaxy G3-144 Bleeping In Engineer Mode

Featured Replies

Why would a galaxy 3-144 bleep constantly when in engineer mode?.

I access eng. mode through opt 48 and so on...but the keypad keeps bleeping until I exit engineer and reset using the customer code. Am I missing something.

I know I'm not the world expert on the Galaxy, but every other one I have worked on was silent in eng. mode?

I'm confused as it wasn't like this last week...

some alerts are still active in engineers, what does it say on silence

It was obviously an alert still active in eng. mode..."esc" then 2nd enter of the eng. code silenced it.

Not sure as to which alert but I will have a look when I get a chance.

Thanks for the help lads.

Battery missing and AC fail alerts are definately still active in engineers, but it does say "XX Faults" when you enter the engineer code from the "ENGINEER MODE" banner. You have to view them all to clear them. The beeping is intermittent (once every 20 seconds or so) and it will be audible on the loud speaker too.

It should all be in the log if you get chance to go an look.

They do that to show they are in engineering mode, unless I'm missing something in what you are saying.

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

Thats my thought...

It doesnt give any indication of any alerts, and the bleeping is only from the keypad - very similar to the "Chime" on the front door contact.

Is this particular to the G3?, as I dont remember it happening on the G2 systems Ive used.
