February 10, 200917 yr comment_224057 Hi all I'm going to attempt my first alarm install and the panel I've gone for is a Scantronic 9651 and 9940 or 9943 Keypads The alarm is going to be installed in a home garage - It's a garage at the back of my garden and is brick built, with a solid pitch roof. There are two doors and one electric up and over garage door - Size of the garage is around 26ft x 26ft Now obviously, I know that I should be going for Dual Tec PIRs - But there are so many makes and models and prices vary. I have seen Vantage Dual Tec's on eBay alot cheaper than others - So are these a good buy? February 10, 200917 yr Author comment_224063 Thanks Have you have good expeience yourself with the detector's you've suggested? As i've now read on here that the microwave part of a Dual tec can often pickup interference and hence cause false alarms? February 10, 200917 yr Author comment_224081 is it ok for me to have two Dual Tec PIRs that are covering the same area? Will the microwave or PIR sensors interfere with eachother?
