Ip Ptz Cameras

Featured Replies

I have a customer who specifically wants to run 3-4 PTZ on his commercial premises.....

I recommended using a 4CH neotech J2000 recorder with 4 std PTZ cams.....

It sounds like he is a technology head and as a result he wants IP cams only....

What would you recommend? Ive looked at the axis/ sony / cannon types which performance wise look great but

for an outdoor application where the weather can be extreme do not really look robust enough....

Anybody got any recommendations from personal experiences?

cheers

if your putting em outside you need an external dome housing.

And id recommend the axis

I have used the Axis PTZ dome in Ghana. I am not a big fan of Axis but these cameras were customer specified. I was quite surprised how good the dome is. The external housing is as good as any other on the market, and the dome itself is a doddle to set up.

cheers Kev

Axis have purpose made external housings and are easy to set up. This will be good for "tech Head" as he should be able to sort out any issues with the IP setting and stop continual call outs which are a real pain.
