Theres a difference between fully trained, and good at your job - you can train monkeys. A good, concientious, engineer wtith a 'talent' for getting the job done and solving problems is hard to find, and Should be paid accordingly.

a pay rise needs to better inflation or by definition it's not a rise.

whats inflation currently say 4% ? so i say 5-10% - if your good at your job.

it's all subjective anyway.
