July 10, 200817 yr comment_204290 Hello all members. I've a problem with windows vista, I believe, when I am setting up DVRs' on WAN connection. Remote viewing is fine on XP but not on Vista. I am getting this message"Msvcr71.dll cannot be found". I tried to download this type of dll file (free download but cannot execute file) but in vain. Is there any way around to solve this problem. Active X is enabled on remote computers. Help & advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, premier Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/24016-error-message-on-retomr-viewing/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 10, 200817 yr comment_204325 What is the dvr and is the software vista compatibe. While you can make certain programs run under the compatibility modes/admin rights etc for those that dont support vista yet, you cant just copy dll's over from xp as vista wont use them. But is it a viewer or an ie issue? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. But is it a viewer or an ie issue? Hi.. The DVR is 16 Channel Dual MPEG4/MJPEG. If you want, I can send you it's picture. It operates on "Remoteweb.ocx" program for remote viewing. The surprising thing is that sometimes this DVR works well with another vista based PC when logged in from different site. Do you reckon it's ie issue? I am using ie7. When logging from my PC, I do get the DVR software window with CAMERA & MODE written in the background, but just that I also get this small window with messg "Msvcr71.dll cannot be found".
