hi guys,

on an emailed flyer from Maplins i spotted they are knocking out non contact ac voltage testers which also have a handy LED torch built in for the cost of some shrapnel so given recent discussions i'm doing my public service bit (but i'd still double check with a neon ;) )

i know them as 'hot fingers' but can't remember where that description came from, it just stuck, might have been what a sparks called it or an early version made by MK or Rolston Tools perhaps?

was that one of those screwdrivers with batteries in called a "7 in 1"? checks microwave leakage and continuity - on anything under 100 meg ohms :rolleyes: but will tell you your extension lead definitely has power on it (but not definitely note ;) ) without touching anythink likely to be live.
