March 18, 200818 yr comment_193295 9454 is of the around 15 years old vintage, take a car of similar age into the main dealer & see if the chaps in the garage are up to speed on 'em?9454 is plastic on board keypad type & does not monitor for battery fault if i recall right but has been 10 years since I have had the pleasure wrong - the 9454 (and its smaller brother the 9252) had battery monitoring circuits, i would take up the kind option of a couriered battery , replace it and see how it goes. As also stated tho the external sounder should have made a noise when you removed power/panel went totally dead, so you would probably benefit from a replacement external sounder as well. I,m sure you can find a local small installer who will give you a sensible quote for this. But as long as the bell/sounder sounds when you get your system working again (ie set it, activate it on a sensor) then all will be ok in short time.
