OK understand your position. I can't afford a security engineer though, so I'm now left wondering wtf to do!!!

Well you could get an electrician to disconnect it and wait for the batteries in the siren to run down. Might annoy the neighbours, but if you're lucky only for 20 minutes!

(If you're really unlucky a lot longer it's deemed a noise nuisance and the council send someone round to disable it and bill you.)

Or, probably for no more money, get an alarm engineer to set it up properly..... :whistle:

Question is, do you WANT a working alarm in future, or not?

If not, as Angus had said, the solution is relatively obvious and in your own hands once you've safely disconnected it from the mains.

exactly that my friends - loose the disney channel, get your alarm mended (aint much of a sacrifice imo)
