Which Ademco Is This?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've recently moved house, and am trying to identify the Ademco system installed. There are no model numbers on the outside of the main box or the keypad, and I'm loath to open them up in case I set off the alarm ...

So... a description:

First, the keypad has no display. This threw me, since a search on google images for "ademco keypads" results in NONE without a display.

Secondly: The keypad has a few LEDs running down the left side: Zones 1-8; "(9) Tamper", "(0) Day", and "Power". Below them are three LEDs running horizontally: a phone symbol, "Bat", "RF"

Then the keypad is on the right, numbers 0-9, *, and #, with the following text above each key as follows:

1 - Full set

2 - Part set

3 - Night set

4 - (blank)

5 - Test

6 - Isolate

7 - (a phone symbol)

8 - Code

9 - Chime

* - Escape

0 - Log

# - Easy Set

That's it for the keypad.

The main box has nothing on it that stands out.

Any ideas would be appreciated. The alarm went off tonight for some reason, and I'd had to disturb the neighbourhood again!

Regards,

Andy

AlterEgo,

Thanks for responding. No, that's not it, unfortunately.

I've been reading through some manuals, and I *think* it's an accord main unit. Still no idea what the keypad is. However, the accord user manual seems to offer instructions for both display and non-display keypads, and the notes tie up with my keypad.

Only problem now is that the "(9) Tamper" light is permanently on, which I'm sure it wasn't before.

I'll spend some time tonight finding out what that means,

Thanks again for your help,

Andy

Short walk to the bin with it.

It depends on your problem. Whats the actual issue?
