What Sort Of Alarm Panel To Use

Featured Replies

Don't know if anybody can recommend a panel to use, as I have a customer who wants a certain setup and I am not sure what is the best panel to use.

The site is basicly a large storage yard which currently has beam detectors around the permiter so if someone climbs the fence or opens the gate the alarm goes off and auto dialers the owner.

The current panel is a mark 3 Honeywell Galaxy Unit.

What he wants is that when a beam gets broken you get a voice warning and then when the beam gets broken again activates the alarm and autodialer, sort of like a double knock

Can I do the above with the current Galaxy Panel or is there another type out there to suit the job.

Any Help greatly appricated.

there are ready built external detector units (ask at the wholesalers) which sound off a pre-recorded voice warning when activate, you could use them on double knock or perhaps even beam pair them with just about any decent panel.

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

yes you can use your existing panel

just set a link up in programming to trip a relay connected to a voice annunciator and speaker system when the beam is tripped, (on double knock)
