Featured Replies

(Hey, guess what, I'm an IT techie that used to be an electronic engineer, so obviously I know ALL about alarms)

(Sorry that was in response to this thread - http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/comm...showtopic=19939 - I'm here because I think the experts (thats you lot) know better)

OK, my mum has the following: Menvier TS690 cpu with a DC6 modem, 7 PIRs and 2 LCD panels, 2 inside speakers and an outside box.

Got struck by lightning few weeks back. Inside unit went a bit silly and has since been site visited and made inoperable by alarm co (remove bell cable and +12 to panels from CPU, 35 minutes, charge

the system can seem so be reacting as in pirs ect, but can still be totally useless.

i went to a job 2 weeks back and had to swap everything, not that often that happens but it can.

most times i find it came via the phone line and often takes out the equipment connected to that eg dialler ect and the control panel and keypads.

in summary it is not unheard of and we would have no reason to doubt them.

i have messaged you.
