Hi,

I have been having problems with the controls of my Optima Compact.

The buttons on the control panel and main box were not working, so I opened the main box causing the tamper alarm to go off.

Once the alarm goes off, the buttons begin to work to allow me to disable the alarm. However. once the alarm has been disabled the buttons no longer work and the tamper light is showing.

Please help.

is the control panel lid in place when you try to use a button?

No - It was before I took it off and they didnt work then.

it means there is a tamper on the system some where ie bell , detectors , panel

Sorry - the buttons only stop working after I press reset.

But pressing the buttons prior to this doesn't let me enable the alarm.

still means a tamper fault though

after pressing reset is the lid still off?

I have put the lid back and the buttons are working.

However when I now key in the code and press set I do not get the countdown to be able to leave the house.

sound like it has defaulted back to factory settings then
