C & K 700l Speaker :- Unable To Adjust Volume

Featured Replies

On my C&K 700l the speaker that sounds when you enter/exit is REALLY loud.

When Adi came to service my system he tryed to turn the volume down via somthing inside the control box but for some reason it didnt make any difference.

Is there anyway i can swap the speaker for somthing i can adjust the volume?

these panels are well known for the speaker being too loud the only real solution is to swop the existing speaker which is probably rated at 16ohm for one with a higher rating ie "teletone" speaker rated at 55ohms this will reduce the volume a little and give a smoother tone

Ill look a right tit now, should have asked us to sort it.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.

the volume on the motherboard only did part set on the 700L

you will have to have a resistor fitted in line

I always went for a 100ohm

Or you could as said swap the speaker for a high ohm'd unit

BUT beware dropping the volume on a 700L in either of these ways also drops the alarm volume as well

Sorry Adi To Poss Butt In

No worries mate. I would have done with a VR as i wouldnt know what size ressy to fit.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.

omnicrom panels used to have a resistor soldered across them to achieve same effect but seen many of them burned out

when panels crashed always ditched the lot

Not Suprised With A AI Omnicrom

Fitted Dozens On 700L's Never Had A Problem

Hey Adi

Have Always Struggled With VR's

If You've A Good Version I'd Love A Link, if It Maplins Or RS Say
