Delay In Alarm Activation

Featured Replies

I have a Pyronixs Sterling 10 alarm system that I've installed over 5 years ago. Up until a couple of months ago everything was fine but when you now activate the alarm system either through an activation by a panic alarm or PIR there is a delay before the bell sounds which can be between 10-30 minutes.

Ive checked the Bell box itself and its fine so beleive it's the main control unit.

Before I go and replace the main control unit I wanted to know if anyone may know what the fault may be.

Many thanks

Has anyone programmed a bell delay into the system parameters?

Has the panel been subjected to lightning or electrical interference?

I don't use the Sterling 10 {spit} so cannot offer any further advice I'm afraid.

To all the above the answer is no.

Thanks anyway

In which case it's broke :sign:

Thanks for making my worse fears come true.

Would you recommend a replacement panel?

TEXECOM BRIGADE HERE :drive1: lol

If it's a DIY install I would recommend a Texecom Veritas Excel

m8

I am 1 of the few in the Gardtec brigade and i would fit a 480 panel. If you cannot get hold of one hen the CP8 panel will do the job.

no I have not but will try that

gardtec are the best allround, i use em for every thing[bells, panels, detectors] no need to use any other brand as they make everything, and well.

i like to follow the analagy 'why fix what ain't broke' and Gardtec never is broke so i don't have to fix it - have yiu read the 'GAL' area
