Optima G3 - Cannot Use Partset (program 2 Or 3)

Featured Replies

Hi

i've just finished installing an Optima G3 panel. I cannot set Program 3 to disable zone 4 (PIR on landing) when I follow the manual. When activating the panel to use Program 3 (night mode), the PIR on the landing triggers a full alarm condition.

Is this a known problem or is the manual incorrect?

Thanks

Adrian

check your exit modes are correct for prog 2 and 3

I note from the engineer manual that the Exit Modes for Programs 2 and 3 are disabled (factory default). If my part set (night mode) is using Program 3, what should I set the Exit mode to be? Options are:

0 Disabled

1 Timed

2 Terminated Set

3 Final Door Set

4 Silent Set (use exit time)

thanks in advance

Er, to state the obvious, you use whatever is appropriate, but not 0. :ninja:

What do you want to do, e.g. how do you want/expect to operate the part-set?

(probably 1 or 4, but you never know.......)

i would go with that one...0 will do as it says on the label.....disable it

You proably would use 4

but then again????????? :blue:

I just to want to set Program 3 to be the Night set mode i.e All zones armed except Zone 4 (landing PIR).

I thought this would be achieved by choosing (quoting from manual) Used Zones then selecting/de-selecting the relevant zones to use for a Night Set program. Not sure I understand why the Exit mode setting of Silent Set (4) will cure my problem but will try it and report back.
