Funny that, I think I'm right too :P

Seroiusly though RJB, you are the only person I have come accross that doesn't like it.

They are hyper bright LED's though and the pic doesn't do it justice. I've done a few for some of the forum members and they seem to have been recieved well.

To be fair it looks less brash than some that I've seen but I can think of a few of my customers who would have problems with the screen contrast.

The contrast is superb, it's far easier to read than the standard keypad. :)

You'd have to see it "in the flesh" so to speak to appreciate it. it's so bright that all of the hallway has an eerie blue glow at night :fear:

Already tried it Georg,

I went through red, yellow and blue as well as a different green to the standard ones.

Purple LEDs are available now so I may try the next one in those to see what they are like.

Subtle then :P

Never been one of my strong points

At least it provides a comforting night light for the parrot. :P

Gives a whole new meaning to "Who's a pretty boy then?"

Bellman,

where did you get the SMD LEDs from? (If you don't mind me asking)

Did you also have to change the current limiting resistors on the keypad?

I might have a go at doing it with a Texecom keypad I have here (when I have some time).

Andrew

EDIT: Another grammatical error, been doing too much revision
