  1. The flap still needs to be opened in order to answer YES/NO to ARM/DISARM question, doesn't it?
  2. Evening. Unfortunately the SB didn't work with the suggestions made. Whenever I connected the black wire to the bell, it continued to beep. I then tried 0v, the aux, the -, but connecting to any of these meant the SB just continued beeping non-stop. The only solution was to plug the black wire into the Speaker - and this stopped it. Now it only sounds whenever I do a speaker test or when the alarm actually triggers
  3. Lol. I'll try not to. I'll let you know how I get on mate. Thanks again to everyone.
  4. Sorry rulland as I didn't notice your previous post. Thank you again. I shall try this first thing in the morning. Is it safe for me to disconnect and reconnect whilst the unit is still powered or would I need to power everything down?
  5. Thanks al-yeti. I have unchecked everything except for user can: ARM, DISARM, OMIT and still some user menus are showing. Also I want to stop a user from accidentally disabling things like the door chime, but it seems they can disable it by pressing the chime button.
  6. Sorry, but I'm totally confused. I'd be very grateful if you could possibly edit the picture above and do two new arrows pointing towards where you want me to connect the wires.
  7. So for bell - I think that is 0V (next to Strobe) ????
  8. The current sound bomb wiring connections are as the image shows below, i.e. RED going to BELL +12V and BLACK going to SPK-. Please note that this image is just an example off the internet and is not my actual alarm, but it's the same layout. So have I done it wrong?
  9. My apologies, but I'm not exactly sure what and where you want me to connect the wires to. Also I'm not sure where the system gets 12v output under alarm conditions.
  10. I don't know if this is possible, but how can I setup to have a user which can ONLY Arm & Disarm, but should not see or access any other option. At the moment, using a fob and standard user settings, it asks all sorts of questions and also allows the user to access various menus. I want this stopped. If this is possible, could you please tell me what settings in wintex I need to enable/disable?
  11. Hi guys, Thanks to many of you on here, I'm slowly getting to understand the system and have been playing around with it's settings to match it to our needs. One of the things I don't like about the texecom premier elite 24 is how quiet it's panel's internal speaker is. So I've bought a Twin Piezo Sound Bomb from Alert Electrical:- I've connected the red wire to the panel's 12v bell and the black wire to the panel speaker's -ve However it still sounds really quiet and I'm wondering if I've wired it correctly. Could anyone please confirm if this is correct and if so, how can I test that it's working correctly? Thanks again
  12. The master fob can be put away in a safe place and in the event that the missus could not manually turn off the alarm, then she can find this and use it. Also what do I do with the rest of the tags?
  13. Thanks for explaining james. Whilst I was awaiting a reply, I've managed to setup two users. However, I just wanted to know how people setup their prox tag systems. I mean assuming your two adults in the house, then would you have two standard user tags and one master tag to put away in case of emergencies?
  14. Hi everyone, I want to setup two users for our home and keyfobs, but I'm not quite sure how to do this via wintex and also how I should structure them. For example what is the difference between ENGINEER and MASTER and why do we need both? Also what is the difference between MASTER and STANDARD? Also if I setup 2 keyfobs, i.e. 2 standard users, would I need to carry a seperate master keyfob?
  15. Please accept my apologies as I've found the wintex menu (AREA TIMERS AND OPTIONS > OPTIONS > 13.ANTI-CODE RESET), which allows you to disable this.
  16. Hi everyone, I've setup my Texecom Premier Elite 24 alarm with an ip com and wintex is connecting to it fine. Majority of the alarm seems to be okay and it's more about fine-tuning it and getting to grips with it's advanced features.. Firstly, everytime I arm the system and when it triggers, I go and disable it with the keyfob. But then it keeps stating that I need to enter a reset-code. I know how to enter this code, but I don't want this feature at all because for the moment it's a bells-only alarm without GSM or any monitoring. Is there a way of permanently disabling it from wintex? If so, can you kindly tell me how? FYI, I've already set the Global Options Anti-code reset value to 0, but this hasn't worked. Thank you very much
