learn something new every day, thanks! i've never worked out why on some routers you only need one site, and on others you need two. which is why when setting up i do the remote one first and if it works on the LAN i stop there. thanks!

technicolour is the ONLY router on our blacklist! if a customer has one and wants remote access, we tell them they need to change it. as luck would have it, we also sell netgear routers

depending on how low down the wall the camera is mounted, if the place has a false ceiling you can do a diagonal hole up into the wall from the camera location, then one down from above the ceiling, and then fish the wire through. takes a lot of practise to get it right, but is a good technique once you've got it. -
