2-way- (Teacher calls register and pupil responds)
1-way- (Teacher says nothing and would have to wait until pupil says they are present)
-
No as the LED are off until put into walk test. on tex
-
But detector needs to receive message from panel to turn on LED's so receives from panel and then sends to panel 2-way.
I'm referring to the Texecom ones here, as Pyronix ones are on all the time.
Unfortunately, good answers worth thinking about, but nothing categoric.
? Texecom and Pyronix (& prob Honeywell) are two way as the panel requests information from the detectors (signal, battery info) and then sends it back when you or I request at any time. If it was 1-way then you/I would have to wait until it polls the information.

I don't get that?
Walk test proves detector sending signal not receiving
But detector needs to receive message from panel to turn on LED's so receives from panel and then sends to panel 2-way.

Risk assessment.
Recordings could be for 1hour, 12hour a week, month or a year. It all depends on the RA and what the recordings are for.

Well I have a e-line and the new Honeywell detectors on my desk
I have to say the e-line is a nice detector but getting the front to part from the back base is way way to hard, plus there is a screw to lose.
The Honeywell I think is very very nice and is probably the quickest detector to install. I also like the torch light to get walk test led.
As for the plastic lock my BAHCO divers fit it perfect but it would be better if it was the same size as the Bosch one.
I mainly use tex detectors as I don't have problems with them, but I'm prob going to switch to the Honeywell as they are miles faster to install and same ish cost.

If I change the panel, where would I get galaxy gold or dimensions equivalent from.
Not equivalent but better would be you changing over to a Texecom elite 24.
Having read most of your posts the elite will do everything you want and more in its sleep.
Plus you get a nice pc software for you to pay with until your heart's content.
PS. the WiFi module for it is also what you want.

Bit of a moot point with his phone ringing in his pocket telling him his alarms gone off...
Just set that zone alarm to ring other numbers and not your own surely...
-
I should hope your system has sent you conformation that there are intruders before you need a safe limpet?
You would be better putting a PA next to safe in case you are ever frog marched to it.
-
Ok.
I just followed the mounting instructions. It doesn't mention going through the back as a possibility. I thought I was doing it the right way.
I will drill some more holes tomorrow!!
?? Box 3 in the instructions it shows you where to make the mounting holes

Just have one live box and one dummy box. It's your coms which should be your most important aspect otherwise it's just a system that makes a noise.

anyone tried getting one working with a Webway unit?
Do you mean a elite panel with both of them connected?
-
Hi, Texecom don't do a wireless keypad i'm afraid.
Are all the cores damaged in the cable to your second keypad as you only need four?
-
Time to tell them to wake up and wait for response back?
-
Are they good then - the soundbombs ?
Put one in the hall of a 3-bed house say, and no-one will be asleep in the middle of the night if it go's off

Has tex ever tested 512 devices on one panel Ade?
I wonder what the wait time would be before all devices would be ready for arming.
-
+ the bill for 512 tex wireless detectors is very large ££££
-
An elite 168 will give you 128 devices.
+
Im not sure about device hopps though with regards positioning the expanders.
-
i think its 512 devices and 256 smartkeys on a elite 640 if i am reading it right.
-
-
I use the 2-holed ones as they are easy to hide.

That's correct, WD's are not supposed to be mounted next to CIE for that reason.
Don't you just love it when they mount them in the control panel.
Two Way ? Prove It.

What system are you referring to as not all wireless systems are 2-way.
