Gazza would have you believe I have forgotten the job I used to do now I have a desk job so I've been set a challenge. Does tsi think I'm past it? If you do, I'll do an install with one of my lot and let it be filmed so gaz and co can zip the criticism.
Over to the public vote.
Genuinely I can't think of anyone else I would turn to for technical advise with signalling and a few other specific things and I have no doubt you're the expert with all thing CS related but you wouldn't last 5 mins with me on site.. In the nicest possible way I'd destroy you.

All football supporters are ooligans. I saw it on panorama
We're a big footballing family here, my eldest and I are season tickets holders at Bournemouth and my youngest is a semi saints fan.. My wife likes football generally.. I coach our local under 11's and football has a very positive effect on them.
But I have never worn and never will wear a football shirt and our seats are the tier below executive - no chavs allowed..
Football is a funny old game but I love it.. You can't beat a great game of football regardless of the score (obviously a win is best though)..

stable environment tho id be more wary of doing it in say in a warehouse with a lot of roller doors that are open all day etc
yeah, you're right.
-
the sway would worry me depending on the environment but anything with a 3m drop and one fix is gonna sway whatever
currys & pc worlds mate, 360's & mic's all on at least 3m drops - never known the sway to be an issue
-
I think would be OK very short drops but too long might sway too much? The metal poles are solid when up..

No Jon, they are a members of this site and it was just a joke amongst trade members. Like most of us on here, they won't be interested in commissioning a DIY job.
You may be better looking on yell.com.
Under plumbers or carpet fitters, whatever
-
Used them loads in PC worlds and currys - specifically for mounting 360's and audio mics but have no idea where they came from.
Probably doesn't help?
-
There is also the use of the BAFE logo in there somewhere.. I know it says we're working towards blah blah
-
they do say they tend to use partners to do intruder maybe there nsi, peronally im not a fan of this company bashing it makes us/we look a bit small time again its a personal opinion
it's not company bashing mate, it's pointing out the w*ankers who pretend they have something they haven't worked for or paid for.
-
What are these NSI standards they refer to?
Exactly, it's very deceptive. They know exactly what they're doing using those words in this manner.
-
Not as much claiming but implying they have NSI:

North coast of Majorca for us in August.. Tend to stick here, binned the all-inclusive hotels as the kids are older so lazy beach days and restaurants for us!

I know this has been asked before but no one really gave a clear answer and it was a couple of years ago.
What is the average daily sub contracting rates for doing cctv / intruder and access. I have own tools, unmarked vehicle, full insurance, own teeth etc etc etc.
Probably never answered as it's not really an answerable question. It depends on the company you're subbing to and the relationship you have with them. What else is chargeable on top of the rate etc. We've worked for less than our normal subby rate before but we've charged mileage and had hotel cards etc. Then we've also subbed for less to try out a national but there was no other charges covered so after 2 jobs (which they thought were the best they'd seen for a long time) we binned them as it wouldn't pay so pointless. Sometimes we've taken on work with low rates because I know we'll do it in a fraction of the hours so will pay in the long run.
It's just not possible to give you a number.

Is everyone up to date with the The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 which became effective on the 13th June?

Let's hope their boiler doesn't pack up..

Thank you all. I chose the RK815.
A very (i)wise decision..
-
Ronnie, I do believe that was a rather large bite?

We could of course pick on the soft, shandy drinking southerners?
I'm not nails but I'm not soft either.. Never had shandy ever.. Ale in the winter, lager in he summer

Same here for our preferred product, I don't see why I am being "mental".
Just like you don't do Scantronic we don't do Risk-o, the Rokonet detector was the nail in the coffin years ago.
So you don't disagree they are good?
-
Had a couple of drinks tonight ?
and yes..
-
Had a couple of drinks tonight ?
I wouldn't agree, but to each there own.
Had a couple of drinks tonight ?
are you 2 mental? 100's and 100's of these and not one problem (maybe 1 out of box failure).. best detector out there, no question.
