Why is it my fault all of a sudden?
Your the new scapegoat buddy.

No problems buddy, I probably don't make sense sometimes either. I reckon it's an age thing .
I don't know Pete & I haven't got an apprentice. I usually just blame my mate, funny enough it usually IS his fault .
-
Hey what ? Been a really bad day , explain please .
-
So is this the same panel that you asked about yesterday ?. If you care to look, all the information is easily accessible via Google . If you look at the answers to your original topic you'll find the wiring details.

Omnicron: Z1, 2, 3 or 4 to N/C on PIR.
Omnicron: 24Hrs to 24Hrs (tamper) on PIR.
Omnicron: 12v + & - to 12v + & - on PIR.
Hope that helps.

Seen quite a few old Secom boxes, Never seen the ADT one or any Abel alarms boxes. Maybe Abel didn't come into Wales ?.
-
Bloody hell where did you find that picture ?. I've never seen an ADT wedge before.

Some places sell four core expensive lol
True but this guy was just a rip off merchant.

Would that be self serviced or never serviced ?, Your reply to Peter says you don't remember it being serviced.

Logic 4 is likely to be 4 core era, possibly has a mechanical bell.
Always used 6 myself but one firm I did service for only ever gave their installers 4 core for everything, guy was an ass. Always bought the cheapest of everything but charged ott prices for it.
-
Hi Thomas: What type of external sounder do you have at the moment, is it one of the old wedge shape ?.
When was the Logic 4 last serviced ?. Does your sounder have a strobe fitted ?
To answer your question: For someone that knows alarms and is confident working at the top of a ladder, it should be an easy swap out. As long as the Installer used 6 or 8 core cable and it's not a panel fault causing your problem.

What's your sell by date on it?
Whatever date it was manufactured, about 30 seconds after it came of the production line.

Reality get some money together and scrap it , seriously
Agreed, way past it's sell by date. OP doesn't mention if it's ever worked properly either.

All the information needed is in the Installer manual, one thing it says is that Engineer codes should not include the number 0.

The £25 PCB, is that already defaulted ?.

Won't be cheaper
Cheeky, I might be a cheap tart (Not) . That would be a hell of a trip to default a panel.

Hi: You could try dropping a pm to Peter James, he's up your way somewhere. He may be able to help or suggest someone that can.
Did you actually change the Engineer code from the factory default code at time of installation ? A lot of DIY installers don't.
-
The thing is, you might be totally legit in your request but we don't actually know that or have any way to verify it. Also if we were to give this information out then anyone could access it, Obviously then there would be no point in your security system.

Sorry but we don't give out factory default information, it's against our rules.

Do your head in ?, You been at the winegums again ?. I told you before, they're too strong for you

Exactly Al, which is why I told him to go to Pyronix. They've got a list of registered installers.

If you can't get in touch or nobody has taken over his "contracts" he was a cheap installer
I suspect your "certified" falls short of what we think a proper installer is
I suspect if you go to a proper alarm co. there'll want the system on a maintenance contract
The installer is the one that's purchased the controls & set up & register the app.
There's no agreement made between pyronix & you.
but you enter your details & thoughts into a web browser...

I don't think Pyronix have cheated anyone, it was the responsibility of your Installer to make you aware of the fact that after the first year you have to pay a fee to continue using the service. A fact your Installer would have been all too aware of.
Pyronix are a business like any other and there to make profit, not to give services away for free.
Did you ever question your Installer about ongoing fee's ?.

Sorry, forgot to mention: The PA terminals between the zone 8 and tamp terminals, needs to be linked as well.
