  1. Hi Danny

Just bought some genie nv-101s but need the manual to configure. I’ve read an old post you mentioned you have the manuals. I’ve reset them but I can’t talk to them ... arp -a shows 182.168.0.255 put prolly the port

I’m stuck atm and hope you can help

    cheers Phil

      Hi Phil,

Unfortunatley i dont have a manual for this anymore (my HDD that i had all my manuals on died a while back), and i no longer work for Genie (i should upate my profile)!

However the default ip for these units was: 192.168.10.100 with the login of: admin and pass: 1234

I would reset the units by downpowering and pressing the reset button then power up with te reset held for 30 seconds. This will default the units.

You should then be able to log into the units (Using IE) using the above.

Finally if are still not having any joy, download the Genie manager software from the website at: www.genieaccess.com under software/firmware. (old file). This will install a scanner and you should be able to find the units on the network.

Hope this helps and good luck,.

      Dan

      Hi Dan

thanks for the reply and login details. I sorted it with Genie and got them up and running, is there such a think as a streamer that streams the footage/data to a server or similar so that theres no HD or storage on the sending end.....then connect to the server to view and download?

Like a remote d/nvr is what I mean, someone mentioned a cloud that hikvision do?
