  1. Hi Luke, We have a few 14" and a 10". Yours if you want to collect. (im sure they all work, however not been used for ages). We are in Stevenage. Bell me on the office Number 01707330541 (danny) if intrested.
  2. Hi, Sorry not been on the site for a few days and typically a Genie topic comes up. If you still need the manuals PM me your email and i will ping them over. I will also check why they are not on the website, they should be but we have had quite a bit of site mainenance of late so might not all be back up 100%. , D
  3. Hey, Was one of the support guys for Xtralis back in the Day (2000-2008) and the kit was bullet proof. I havent worked a huge amount on the latest stuff, however have found that its still very good especially the VMD (presidium) and the FT2. I wouldnt write them off yet as they are still specified on the higher end of jobs and still quite favoured by a lot of the ARC's out there. Why the question if you dont mind me asking?
  4. Hi there, Even if you could get into the router etc, i wouldnt use this for the security system as you cannot garentee that the system would be connnected to the broad band 100% of the time as the system will most prob have IP data restrictions (i.e. to stop ip addresses sitting draining data). Also as you would have no control over the connection you cannot be sure that Port would not be closed, or the connection suspended etc. Finally if its sitting on the router that is used on for the wireless for the pub, access to the DVR etc would be pretty easy for people who were connected to the system (I have managed to connect and gain images to a DVR in a pub in London using FING network anlalyser and the defualt details to the DVR). To save yourself headaches advise your customer to get a dedicated connection for the security system. Well thats what i would do anyways. , D
  5. Xtralis Adpro Pro range. Very good and very reliable.
  6. Defenatly go with the wired option, Far to may variables that will cause problems with a wireless soloution. Also you will need to get power to the camera so there will have to be some cabling for that anyway.
  7. I agree with Antinode, Sounds very much like it should be a monitored system. Regarding the PIR's I have found that you do get what you pay for, the GJD's are a good option, but i have always found that Redwalls and the Adpro Pro series are the best out there. The main thing is trying to limit false alarms, especially if monitored, as this can become a major issue later on. As for auto tracking, there are domes that have this as a built in facility (sony used to produce a system) but iMHO are a bit to easilly defated. However if there is a budget for auto tracking i would suggest looked at an analytics based system that isnt as easly bypassed. Regarding the wiring, you would have an option with the PIR's as to how to wire them. The usual metod would be to go back to the head that the PIR system is controlling, however if the DVR has the feature of alarm mapping, taking the alarms back t the DVR first with the DVR sending the heads to preset postions can also be a very sucessfull configuration. Hope this helps, ,
  8. I agree that this could be come the Betamax vs VHS, for ages there has only been one real option with compsite video, however over the past 18moths there has been a number of technologies comming out to the market place. HDSDI, AHD, CVI, TVI as well as a couple of other that have already disapeared. And as Boxshifter says the mine field is that currently they dont appear to be cross compatable which could cause headaches if a certain technology goes the way of Betamax.
  9. Hi 9651, To be fair this isnt an issue with the Genie DVR. Its an issue with the IMMIX intergration of the DVR on their cloud platform, somthing that Genie doesnt have any control over. The GDVRH system was originally intergrated into IMMIX enterprise and never intergrated into the cloud platform fully and hence the problems that you experenced. ,
  10. AHD is a technology that like HDSDI allows HD images to be transmitted over 75Ohm Coax, it’s still a technology in its infancy, however we have been testing it over here for a while. (we had a recorder and cameras on our IFSEC stand last year) the benefit is that the transmission distances are further than the 100m SDI limitation at the moment, however the downside is that the resolutions are not quite as good as HDSDI. Think that the UK industry will be seeing quite a bit of it in the near future.
  11. Hi 9651, What kind of problems you having with the Genie Kit? Wondered if there is anything i can do to help. , D
  12. Hi there, Welcome to the site.
  13. Hi there, How long have the domes been installed for? As depending on the material that the bubble is made from (pollycarb , Acrylic etc.) natural UV from the sun can colour the bubbles after a period of time, however i would admit that the one in the image is very badly effected as would expect only expect that level if exposed for a very long amount of time. Also other than the Rain-X have these domes been cleaned with anything else, solvents etc.? as this can alss cause issues like you are getting. Finaly apart from the discolouration are the domes in good shape? or are the covered in scratches (even hairline ones)? as this can cause IR Blowback like you are getting in the low light images as the IR refracts back off of the cratches instead of passing through. Regarding Rain-X, i agree with the above, however i have used it before on pollycarb domes in very exposed areas and not had any adverse effects. Hope this helps, ,
  14. Hi, We only do single channel encoders/decoders, but i have seen multi channel rack systems availble at IFSEC from our friends in the far east, not sure if anyone in the UK distributes them though. We dont really get the demand for multi channel systems. (we used to do a 4 channel encoder, but its now obsolete as we hardly sold any). Might be worth testing a single channel unit first, just to ensure that he ANPR server is happy with the video etc. ,
  15. Hi Mike, To clarify, are the ANPR cameras and Server analogue and you need to transmit it over an existing IP network? If so an encoder decorder system should work. however this would also depend on the bandwidth availble on the network and how sensitve the ANPR system is on video and lag etc.
  16. From an exihibitors point of view. Ill be honest the first day was a bit quiet and there was some concerns being raised as if it was going to be a flop, however the seond and 3rd days were very busy and, we were pleasantly surprised by the turn out and quality of people coming on stand..... i don’t think i spoke to one person about a bird box solution! Which sadly became the norm for the last few years in brum. I echo the comments that in the CCTV side of things there is a lot of the same stuff in diffrent boxes, however this has been the case for quite a few years so i wasnt expecting anything else to be honest. And again a lot of the customers that i personally spoke to seemed intrested in the new technologies and of course wanted to know our opinion of where the CCTV world was headding, of which i personally think that its to early to shout hence why most Manufacturers & Distributors are pretty much hedging their bets. There were the usual invasion from the far eastern copy cats, who wanted to come on stand and take photos of everything and take as many business cards as possible without actually making eye contact with everyone, but that has been the norm for years so i have gotten used to politely telling them to foxtrot Oscar. I was also impressed with the Excel as a building as lay out, however its a bit of a pig to get to in rush hour, however for the visitors, i heard it wasnt to bad as long as you hung back to 11ish to make it over. Like all things though we wont know it it was a sucess for a few months, but early indications are positve and i would suggest that we will be there next year. (my 21st IFSEC!)
  17. Last IFSEC in London was years ago, did secureX quite a bit at Earls Court back in the day which was ok..... but by the end you could understand why it died. Think that the Excel this year will be interesting, but not holding my breath about it being any better than Brum Last year. But i personally think that it has been dying for years and should be every other year with road shows. I will be there anyways though. Well thats my tuppence worth anyways.
  18. been a long week.... looking forward to a few beers this eve.

  19. Is not going to IFSEC for the first time in 17 years! more than happy with that :)
