  1. The only problem is that you need to put the resistors in the D75 we where going to start using them over the yend74 but didn't for this reason.
  2. Ha ha. We always used CQR for a couple of years until we started to get loads of callouts with them going Hi Res. Moved to knights and had very few problems apart from the magnet dropping out of its glue inside the contact. It seems like there isn't enough glue to hold it in so we now add a dab of silicone, job done.
  3. We use knights contacts, no problems at all.
  4. A capture card off eBay fitted in a desktop PC would do the job.
  5. I get it, stand in the window looking if anything is going to happen then as it starts to kick off press record quick. Lol
  6. We have fitted 100s of Axis cameras with only one not working out of the box, some of them have now been fitted 3 years and not a single problem. Also the Axis video encoders and I/O mod's have been 100% trouble free aswell.
  7. Died for good had to be sent back for replacement.
  8. Yes. Still having problems with LEDs not working on certain cameras on the system. We have had 2 machines die completely.
  9. We have had nothing but trouble with Hikvision. For now we have stopped using it.
  10. But surly under 2m it should be mechanically protected?
  11. After spending the last few days working in Glasgow I was expecting a total nightmare. TBH what a surprise, went out in the city for a meal and a few beers and it was far from what I thought it would be. I would 100% rather work in Glasgow than London.
  12. Press the chime button then press the button corisponding to what led's are lit. This will turn off the chime on the zones iluminated.
  13. Well i thaught i would report back after almost 6 years.... We now have 8 members of staff offices 5 vans/cars on the road and more work than we can cope with and i am stressed out. But on the whole things have gone very well for us but my god it has been a 24/7 job to get here and cost me a few health problems due to being over worked The problem now is keeping on top of all the audits and paper work etc, and we are owed a fortune Thats ths way it is LOL.. If you are thinking of leaving a full time job to start up on your own and intend to make it work get ready for a lot of very hard work and if like me its going to be 12/15 hour days for years... (
  14. I hate staples we do not use them at all and would be very disapointed if i found any of our lads using them.
  15. 100% agreed peter, i am not happy unless i am in the thick of it, thats what drives me forward.
  16. LOL I am more stressed than ever with over £70k out standing at any one point.. We have more work on than ever, 7 members of staff and looking at a new engineer in the new year. Trust me dont think its an easy ride cos its not... Thinking back 9 - 5 at Hex was a dream.. but did not get the ££ i needed. I have had shinges this last few weeks due to stress. So dont think its an easy ride, its NOT..... But on the plus side we are picking up loads of installs and most important loads of 3 year contracts
