Control Panel Sounder Problem

Featured Replies

Sometimes the sounder in our alarm control panel goes off when the alarm is not set and the 24hr lights up, on taking the cover off and checking everything nothing seems to be faulty or wrong with it. What can be causing this ? The external bell box does not ring as I say it occurs when the alarm is not set and we are in the house. Any help would be appreciated. It is a wired diy alarm. The alarm has been fitted about 10 years and this problem has just started occuring

You have a tamper fault, if you can tell us what panel you have we may be able to help further.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

It is an AJ600 Control Panel

Probably the battery then. I'm assuming it hasn't been touched since it was installed? It is possible that the lack of a decent battery could have damaged the system, a service would confirm or deny this.
