Cable Question

hi i am new to the SC website and the security industry. :)

I have got to do 2 assigments for college and i am stuck on few questions and i thought this forum ould help me.

Question:

show the construction of CAT5E cable and Pyro E. identify materials used, dimensions if relevant, any colour codes employed to identify each component part.

for the two cables suggest an application where they might feature as part of an electronic system.

ALSO :-|

what do the following abbreviations stand for in respect of cable type or specification.

Also suggest an example where such a cable feature may be required.

a. S.W.A

b. R.B.S

c. L.S.Z.H

d. M.I.C.C

e. U.T.P

I would if i knew the answers :hmm:

But i dont thats why i am asking for help :rolleyes:

i have never even seen these 2 cables and i am unsure what they do.

and i have never come across those abreviations :'(

a. SWA.

Many people think the 'S' stands for something, it doesn't, it's a common misconception. It actually stands for something else, (or it did when I was an apprentice).

Some people wil accept either answer, some will accept the correct answer only and some will accept the incorrect answer only.
