Whats A Good Wired Diy System Please

Featured Replies

Hi

Having read with great interest the massive debates about wireless i have decided to stick with wired (was going to buy a powermax :angry2: ) but would like to update my panel, pirs, bell box etc as they are over 8 years old and look alittle outdated.

I currently have 5 core cabling and power from the old system. Could anyone please recommed a good system that i can purchase and any websites i can look at. Budget around

I wish everyone would change there panel when its eight, Id be rich :P .

I would go with texecom, Good kit & priced ok.

Find your nearest independant elec wholesale shop, as they are the people who normally stock texecom stuff.

www.texe.com I think thats right :P

Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.

I bought a texecom system for DIY use, stuff is not bad but I had so many returns on items that I bought that I wouldn't buy their gear again!

aesthetically pleasing but their quality control is dreadful IMO

Never ever had any faulty texecom equipment other than a slightly damaged comms connector.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
