I'm getting a sounder tamper error on a Scantronic 9651 system that was installed for me. Unfortunately, the engineer no longer has his company and wont support the installtion (and won't give out any assistance) and I'd like to use the system again!

Does anyone know how to get rid of this error. It just says call out and engineer in the manual (very handy)

Please don,t take this the wrong way but i would suggest you do what it says - call a competent engineer, if you post your location or contact details i,m sure that somebody on here can sort you out at a competitive rate.

This fault is most likely to be one that will require some depth of knowledge and therefore not one tried by yourself. I,m sorry the original installer is of no use to you but there are plenty around who can be

Yes, sounder tamper is engineer reset.

Was your previous installer approved? if so you can contact their inspectorate to supply another installer.

If Not, as mentioned above, post your location and someone will be more than happy to help.
