Guest Twixy Posted December 18, 2005 Share Posted December 18, 2005 Hello there, i am an ex-engineer and a galaxy 8plus which im installing and im wondering if the keypad HAS to be wired in "elden" (is it spelt that??) cable or can i get it working with ordinary? If so, where could i buy it from.. i still have hundreds of meters of alarm cable and detectors ect. Also, this might be a bit dumb but the property i am going to install in.. it seems to be that i will need to wire very close to, if not with, electical cables... if i use the screened cable i have (6 core) will this be ok... Guest Posted December 18, 2005 Share Posted December 18, 2005 Not ideal, but if there was absolutely positively no feasible way to get the cables in anywhere else but by mains cables then yes, screened cables would be the ones to use. I would strongly advise looking at trying to g a different route though.
