Guest scottygio
i recntly ran a post in which i had no alternative but to run my alarm cable alongside the mains for at least part of a route. I was advised to use screenad cable to stop false triggering of alarms. I've looked for screened burglar alarm cable but can't find any,can anyone tell me the name of a supplier (i've tried maplins without success) thanks in advance Scott
ian.cant
Its likely its only something you would find at trade outlets, or at larger cable supply specialists.
cdosrun
I just bought some from http://www.gx-security.co.uk/ they call it screened premium cable, and it seems good enough. Guest
Looks like good stuff - do you have to "ground" the screening when using this? not necessarily but it has to be connected to panel chassis and since your panel has built in transformer it is (at least it should be..) earthed already. Guest
Looks like good stuff - do you have to "ground" the screening when using this? At one end only, usually the panel end. Sometimes grounding the spare cores helps too.
