Optima 2 Plus - Doesn't Arm Istelf

Featured Replies

Hi

My Optima 2 Plus recently stopped arming itself. I don't think it's broken - more likely, it's just in a different mode. It was serviced quite recently.

Originally, we'd type the code and it'd do a series of beeps, one low then one/two high beeps till we leave the house and it's armed.

Now, we hear a series of a low beep then 3 x high beeps. This doesn't stop if we leave the house and return later. We've also tried dancing around the movement sensors (which do seem to work) for several minutes and still don't trigger the alarm once we've tried to set it.

Does anyone have any idea about what this could be and how I could get the alarm back to arming itself?

Thanks

Jim :)

I would suspect that the front door contact is faulty. This will either be flushed into the door or a surface mounted (there pictures in the DIY guide)

Hi ,

Ensure the alarm is in DAY mode before trying to set it.If when setting you get 3 beeps , you should also see zone 3 displayed on the keypad. This means that zone 3 is open , check the device on zone 3.If its a contact , give it a tap.

Regards,

:)
