Right i've set myself a little project and need to know where to get certain bits to achieve it.

Basically what i want to do is have an external looping system connected to the system whereby a protected cable (probably in some sort of flexi conduit) snakes through some bicycles then back with some sort of waterproof, preferably screw in sleeved connector on the other end. Inside i intend to put a keyswitch to lockout the circuit when the customer needs to disconnect the socket.

What im after most is somewhere i can get proper quality external connectors and maybe even decent cable that can stand up to a bit of rough from being threaded through bicycles.

For the plugs have a look at RS, the range is called Bulgin Buccaneer(honest). I used these not long ago when installing temp cameras on a ferry boat & found them to be spot on.

As for the cable, would you only need a pair ?. What about 1.5 3c artic flex and ditch the third core. :)

You only actually need a minimum of 1 core. If there are any more cores than that then loop the circuit up and down the cores so as to tamper protect it a bit.

If you want some decent rigid cable look at armaflex, the braided flex with an overal PVC sheath, v heavy duty. ;)
