July 11, 200520 yr comment_60369 Hi, The alarm we have fitted is an Accenta Mini and is approximately 10 years old. The alarm operates on 2 zones downstairs and a panic button upstairs. Downstairs is set on zones 1 & 2. Recently we have been getting the alarm set off when we are out and the panel shows zone 6. As far as we are aware we do not have a zone 6. Is this a reserved zone that is telling us a fault with the system or is the alarm telling us it is worn out?? Any advice would be appreciated Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/6736-getting-alarm-from-a-zone-we-dont-have/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 11, 200520 yr comment_60370 Sounds like the original installer didnt programme out the zone 6 and just left the link in the panel, and the link is now loose - causing a problem. The other alternative is that they have wrongly set up zone 6 as a tamper, or should I say they havent done it correctly if that is the case. July 11, 200520 yr comment_60371 You probably DO have a zone 6, I think you may be getting confused by the part setting options you have set up. ........................................................ July 11, 200520 yr comment_60372 It could be a faulty panel, or it could be that the panic button is wired into zone 6. With the age of the system, and also I'm assuming it's unserviced, it would probably be best to get an engineer to call and check the system over. To diagnose the cause of the fault would require access to the inside of the panel which is not a recommended end user procedure.
