June 22, 200520 yr comment_58118 As Rich has already pointed out, it's basically a heat issue. Whatever make of IR lamp is used, it would not be a good idea to try and increase the wattage in a fixture designed for a smaller one. If you're using a 300 watt fixture, best stick to the 300watt (equivalent) bulb recommended by the manufacturer. Just to thoroughly confuse the issue, I have in the past come across 500 watt bulbs being used by some manufacturers in 300 watt lamps, the argument being that after filtering, the equivalent light output is nearer to 300 watts Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/6545-denard-lamps/page/2/#findComment-58118 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
