June 3, 200520 yr comment_55855 Hi, Install a few systems as am electrician. Mainly fit texecom. Have one in my house, been fine for about 4 years. Other day after sockets tripped for some reason, external sounder went. Keypad ignored me. Power restored, everything OK. Though time to change battery so I did. Still have probelm. Battery charging etc. Cannot see why I should be having this problem. Have checked fuses, all OK. June 4, 200520 yr comment_55861 What DC Voltage are you getting from your black and red battery leads (whilst disconnected from the battery)? How much current is the battery drawing from the panel? Just checked battery voltage - 4.72 and this is the charging voltage so its never going to get up to 12-13 is it? Panel u/s then? June 4, 200520 yr comment_55875 Unless your really handy with a soldering iron yes the the panel is buggered. You could though repair it by replacing the resistor which will be black and burnt looking, this will be causing the charging cct to fail. Probably cheaper or less hassle to get a new board though. June 29, 200520 yr comment_58717 Hi, I've had a similar problem to that of the original poster. if the power trips (as opposed to being switched off) my Veritas 8 units immediately sounds the siren and the keyobard become un-responsive. I don't think its a battery charging issue as the panel is delivering 13.6v (although with a normal power outage the battery only lasts a couple of hours) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/6362-veritas-loss-of-power-issue/#findComment-58717 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
