If the panel supports End Of Line resistors, you might be able to facilitate tamper, but you need the other fault sorting first 

I would seriously doubt if the said numpties have bothered to fit anything half decent let alone a panel that supports EOL

LOL I know - I was just trying to think of alternatives should the need arise ;)

Do you know if the bell is definately working properley.???? try it with a battery toi see if its that, that is the problem.

Hi

If its only 7-9m from the panel and you think another core is damaged, then why dont you just sling in a bit (temp.)of cable between the panel and the bell to check to see if it is a cable fault or sounder fault, sounds like a faulty sounder to me.
