April 10, 200521 yr comment_48082 hello...i was wondering if any bright spark might know how to resolve a problme I have. I have an sl compact and it works fine except Zone 3 keeps on going off. I have taken to omitting Zone three for the time being. Its a pain as now cable seems to be cut. The area is at the back of the house and the back door. Could the slamming of the back door have damaged the connection? Any help would be appreciated. How can I repair this fault? Any ideas...please Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5736-sl-compact-i-keep-having-to-omit-zone-3/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 April 10, 200521 yr comment_48085 Is zone 3 just the back door..? or are other detectors on the same zone..? If its just the back door, then yeah slamming it can overtime render the contact unreliable or even useless. You could just change the contact and try it out see if its cured the fault. Your best bet though especially if there`s more than one device on that zone is to get an engineer out to sort the fault, post your location and see if one of the many members on here are local to you. ........................................................
