Hi all,

I have recently moved into my flat. The alarm has been working fine up until today. It is a Veritas 8 zone alarm. When I tried to set it earlier, it simply made a short beep. Whatever button I press it does the same, even if I try to reset it with my pin number first. Is there anything I can do myself to get it working again?

If you have a panic button check that it is reset.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Not without the engineer code, sounds like a service timer has expired. I think youll have to get someone out to reset it for you.

Or if the unit beeps 1 to 8 times and a zone light appears - then that zone is in fault when you are trying to set the system.
