Alarm wires into master bt socket

Featured Replies

:( Can anyone help, I have moved into a house with an accord xpc which I reprogrammed last night through engineers mode. It was previously monitored by //.National Installer.// but I had too cancel this as I could not afford to keep it on.

I had some new phone extension sockets installed and the engineer disconnected the alarms red and black wires inside the BT master socket (my fault - another story).

I have programmed the alarm to ring mine or my partners mobile if it goes off, obviously this will not work until wires are reconnected. Trying to be clever I opened up the BT box last night to reconnect wires. Did not know how to as phone extension cable was using number 5. Now the wire has fell out of number 5 and my extensions are not working even when replacing wire. Can anyone offer any advice which I may be able to follow. Or would someone be able to quote for fixing this problem and also installing a working outside bell box as the //.National Installer.// one as usual is empty. I am in Leicester. Thanks for any replies. melissa.brown@iosh.co.uk

As far as I am aware, the accord XPC is not able to use SMS or Speech protocols and, therefore, will not be able to correctly signal activations to a mobile phone.

The cable at your phone socket, from the accord, should be terminated

A-2 and B-5.

I would recommend getting somone from the forum to have a look at it for you, or if you get no response, call somone from the yellow pages.

It sounds like you could do with somone running through all your options with you.

:)

If you don't know......ask.

Many thanks, I think I am getting in over my head here and will probably get some help from someone in the trade.
