Regalsafe RS 40 - Control Box hot

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have had the RS40 for about 10 years, the control box is getting VERY hot. I suspect it may be the battery but I then I am only guessing.

I am relectant to open the control panel this will activate the tamper. I have the engineer code for the alarm but I am not sure where to go from there.

Can anyone give my some advise please?

Thanks

Gareth

Hi Gareth,

It sound's like, as you say the battery has given up, this could potentially lead to other problems (namely charging regulator giving up th ghost)

I would have it professionally serviced and given a clean bill of health for your own peace of mind. post your general location on here and I am sure someone will be able to offer some help and advice.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Thanks guys, I am in Leeds, We have not had the alarm serviced for a while do to some cowboys trying to rip us off.

I will have a look at the box this afternoon, If hope it is just the battery.

Thanks

Gareth
