Concept Alarm Back to Factory Defaults

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a concept alarm system, and I am looking for the manual, reading through previous posts, it seems my battery might be knackered, it was replaced about 3 years ago. I took out the fuse to the unit in order to decorate and now it doesn't take my code, it does take the usual 0123 though.

If I replace the battery does the whole system have to be re-programmed? Is that something I can do myself? Is there a manual out there for it?

Thanks in advance

It does sound like your battery has failed and your system needs reprogramming. This is something you would need an installation manual for and they are not available to the general public here.

Contact a local installer (or reply with your location) to come out and service your alarm for you . This way you can be sure your system is worling properly.

P.S When you do get it fixed..........change your code! ;)

If you don't know......ask.

You could try here ADE manuals if you are quick , try the Concept 6 manual.

As Brian says though , best to have it looked at to ensure correct operation.

I live in Harrow, Middlesex, can you recommend anyone?

After going through more post's yesterday I take it that if the control panel's battery has gone, and when I unpower the whole system, the bell should ring? But it doesn't so I presume that may require a battery as well?

Before calling anyone out, is it easy enough for me (taking note of connections etc) to move the RKP to another location? and replace the panic alarm? (Taking account of the above, is it just remove power, or put in engineer code and then power down and do the work?)

Thanks
