December 30, 200421 yr comment_35768 Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have just moved into a house with a 9448. I have the user code and can full set it. I would like to part set it and omit zone 1, unfortunately when I follow the instruction it doesn't omit zone 1. I can however omit zone 2. Anyone out there got any advice? :!: Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4671-scantronics-9448-zone-omits/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 December 30, 200421 yr comment_35770 Sounds like you have an old 9448, you can only omit zones 2 or 3. Zone 1 can be reprogrammed to act as an entry zone when part set but you will need to call an engineer to crash and reprogram it. If you post your location Im sure someone will be able to help. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4671-scantronics-9448-zone-omits/#findComment-35770 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 January 24, 200521 yr comment_38041 I opened up the control box and tried a factory reset. . Did not work - my user set access code is still working and the factory defaults don't. Anyway I attached a new PIR and rewired some of the zones. So that the zone I wanted to omit is now on an ommitable zone. Why the idiot that installed it didn't do that in the first place beats me. Now, I can set the alarm (with a zone omitted) at night time while I'm in the house. Thanks for all the help (well actually one response) [/b]Please do not post information on defaulting panels in the public forums!!!
