lighting relays

Featured Replies

i have asked this before, but forgot the outcome!!!!

can anyone recommend a good 12volt relay which i can use to switch 2 x 500watt 240v halogen lamps from my galaxy 60 in my house? I intend for these lamps to come on in the event of an intrusion and i also want to assign a code to them as a 'link' so i can turn them on/off whenever.

hope someone can help?

cheers

I'd go with that, I usually find that at least one wholesaler in any area will have a range of relays\contactors\enclosures\starters etc...

How would you do that? Would you wire the relay contacts across the light switch, and get the panel to activate the relay in an alarm condition?

I think you'll find that they will switch 10A ,so 2x500w will be no problem.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
