I have a Eurosec CP8L, which is functioning properly.  However, whilst replacing the battery I noticed a link, J2, but can find no reference to it in any literature.

Anyone know its purpose?  Is it to short-out the tamper switch?

Link j2 is for the tamper switch for the metal version of this panel

Thanks for that info.

Are you able to tell me, in what documentation or other, J2 is mentioned?  I have downloaded all available relevant docs from Cisco, but can find no detail.  Am I missing something?

Remove lid.

Alarms goes in tamper..

Place link over j2...

Reset system....

Is a lid tamper shown ?

No = it's a link for a microswitch when the PCB in a metal cabinet.

Yes = j2 is a undocumented feature which could open a portal to a parallel universe ??

That's not what it does  it does nothing as exciting as that

it just causes the entire universe to get sucked in a black hole

I've just linked J2 and I now find myself in Narnia.  Not so bad though, Internet connection good.
