8sp 400n intruder alarm system

only -ve strobe connection on bell box

but on manual of control panel it shows + and - strobe connections

am i missing something or are these units not compatable :!:

Quite a few Bellboxes only use the Negative strobe connection, they get the positive from the bell hold +.

so does that mean i connect the spare wire(white) in the bell box along side the + ve supply red wire.

Then in the control panel the white will go to the +ve strobe

No it means it doesnt need connecting to the bellbox at all.

The 6 terminals in the panel are there to accomodate any bellbox, some boxes require 4 wires, some 5, and some need all six.
