May 23, 20187 yr comment_476762 Hi, I am new to here but not to alarms. I spent nearly 25 years crawling through lofts but now due to medical issues I can no longer do it. However, my home alarm is a Gardtech 840 which has given great service is not playing ball. I installed a radio interface with a wireless zone expander (the early type stamped with a B) However, my issue is I need to remove the wireless expander and module to enable me to fit it on another system in my workshop. I go into programming say NO to wireless expander fitted. bingo I can come out of engineer no problem. When I go back into engineer mode and physically remove the interface from the data line I come out of engineer and the panel shows Zex 8 tamper.... When I go back into engineer mode it still shows No to wireless being fitted. Any ideas??? May 23, 20187 yr comment_476763 Have a go at down powering in and see what happens when you power up. Failing that try defaulting the panel and reprograming. May 24, 20187 yr comment_476771 Do you need to remove the devices before the expander? Just wondering if it's firmware quirk Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42111-radio-interface-problem-on-a-gardtec-840/#findComment-476771 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
