Dan Pearce
Hi I have just bought an apartment following a death, the alarm system is currently disabled in the fuse box as the vendors family were not aware of the code for the alarm, I have tried to use the factory default code to reset the alarm but this has evidently been unsuccesful, can anyone advise how I can get the system back to the factory defaults given as soon as I turn it on all the alarms sound and all the panel indicators go red? al-yeti
Sounds to me it's been shut off because of faults , and even factory defaulting won't help you, even though that info isn't not given out on this site If it was working most systems just sit there happily in standby and if shut down because whatever fault occurred they didn't want the expense to fix it
aissecur
As you don't know anything about the functionality / quality of the system installed I would suggest the best way forward would be to call out an approved alarm engineer to take a look at the system and advise on the best way forward. Hillbilly
To be fair you could easily get the info you require just by searching google.

He means an engineer "approved " is very vague
