Pyronix enforcer PSTN kit help please

Featured Replies

Hi,

can someone please advise what's going on here. I have setup my Pyronix enforcer but then wanted the SMS option, so I connected up to my panel with appropriate filter into phone socket. I went into settings and enabled the SMS feature , it says to leave the first ARC number and then enter your mobile.

all done, tried engineer comunacation test.... nothing...  6 tries later , got one test SMS, set of alarm.... got nothing, it's very intermittent! Have I done something wrong?

thanks for any help

Does it use TAP format? If so, give up and throw in bin :)

TAP is absolute junk and basically works very intermittantly.

ETSI works very well and is directly supported by BT and limited regions of Virgin media (they have no plans to roll out nationwide, they look like mostly former C+W areas rather than UA / telewest areas)

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Ah!! Well at least it's not me lol, it does indeed use TAP, I don't think the panel supports anything else without upgrading to the GSM version.

i am sure I have an old informa laying around, has anyone hooked one of these up to this kit?

an informa will work via the outputs fine
